Why does my breath smell bad even after brushing my teeth?

It is always best to have a plan when attempting to stop smoking. Have a support group and avoid triggers that want to make you smoke. Don’t go around other people when they are smoking. See your dentist or doctor about options like Chantix or other nicotine replacement options.

At what age should my child start seeing the dentist?

By age one or within six months after their first tooth erupts is when your child should first see the dentist.

How often should I brush and floss my teeth?

The ADA suggests brushing teeth at least twice a day after eating and drinking. You can floss before or after brushing. You should brush for at least two minutes each time.

How often should I get a cleaning?

It is recommended to get a cleaning every six months to keep your teeth and gums healthy. This also helps to prevent cavities along with daily brushing and flossing. Coming to the dentist every six months also helps keep a check on all your oral health.

Why do I grind my teeth?

There are several reasons for grinding teeth. Stress and/or anxiety, a subconscious habit, or a central nervous system issue could be the problem.

What are the symptoms of an abscess?

Symptoms of an abscess include:

Swelling or a lump in the gums or jaw
A fever may occur with chills
Swollen lymph nodes as well as pus drainage from the abscess

What are symptoms of teething?

Irritability, drooling, biting, gnawing on things, ear pulling, and swollen gums are the most common teething signs. To help your baby cope with these symptoms, use Tylenol as needed, let them chew on teeth toys, and use a soothing gel as needed.
